Real Life | Our Christmas 2014

I absolutely love the build up to Christmas and this year, that was made more exciting with Lauren's Britain's Got Talent Audition on December 9th.  I've been so busy, that I haven't had time to write about it.  We went to Manchester on the train for a 4:30 pm audition and we had a brilliant time. Unfortunately, Lauren didn't get through, this time, but she had an exciting time experiencing the 'behind the scenes' elements of the show,  My Instagram pictures show more behind the scenes images.
On December 16th, Lauren and I went to a pantomime in Southport.  We watched 'Beauty and the Beast'.  If you live in the North West of England, I can highly recommend Southport theatre.  It was far more modern than I anticipated and the quality of the set etc. was great.  I can't wait until Harry and Matthew can join us too, next year.

Lauren's school Christmas Party was on December 18th.  My goodness, I am dreading her turning into a teenager.  We had two outfits to decide between, but the main thing she was fussing about, was wearing her silver glittery high heels. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get a picture of her in the final choice, but you looked lovely Lauren and really enjoyed yourself.

It was then full steam ahead into the final Christmas preparations.

On Christmas Eve, we relaxed in the morning, before visiting our relatives who we wouldn't see on Christmas Day.  We arrived back at around 2:30pm and I handed out the Christmas Eve boxes.

It was the first time we have done this, this year and they were well received.  Lauren spent time completing Christmas crafts and Harry and Matthew used their Smarties tubes as shakers.

Later on we got into our Christmas pyjamas.  Santa always leaves them on the Children's beds in the late afternoon.  I loved Harry and Matthew's which were a set from Primark.
Check out that 'messing' with the washing machine and the oven...Little monkeys.
When it was bedtime, we set out a plate for Santa.  For some reason, Lauren wanted to leave an apple for Rudolph.  We Googled, to check if Reindeer like apples and apparently, they do, so that's what we left.
A very excited girl indeed!
On Christmas Morning Lauren was awake first at  6:00 am, but she tells me she awoke many times before that.  She ended up in our bed, until Harry and Matthew decided to make an appearance at a more respectful time of 6:50 am.
Everybody went down together and a fabulous Christmas was had by all!
Harry and Matthew were much more interested in Lauren's presents.
They adored 'Iggle Piggle'.

I hope you had a great day too!
