Valentine's Day | Ideas for Families

Because Valentine's Day is on a Saturday this year, I would like to make more of an effort at home, to celebrate it with the family.  As always, I have been searching on Pinterest for ideas. Check out my page for ideas to inspire your day.

Valentine's Day is traditionally the time for romance, but I see no reason why you can't show your kids how much you love them too.  I enjoy looking for the perfect card, that tells my children that we love them. More on that in a future post.

So here goes.

You will definitely need a heart shaped template for these activities.  I've ordered mine from ebay already.  It doubles up as a heart shaped fried egg maker too.

First up are my plans for food on the day.

I would like to have something heart shaped at each meal for the kids, but also keep it healthy too.

Next up, I've thought about decorations.  There are some great ideas out there for keeping it simple or really going to town.  Here is a selection of my favourite ideas.

And last, but not least, are things to do with the kids.

What plans have you made to celebrate Valentine's Day this year?

  2. These are some great ideas. We're trying to do a budget Valentines this year as we are broke, so this has definitely inspired me. Especially love the food ideas xx

  3. That 'love' canvas is so cute and looks relatively easy to do. I also adore those finger print heart ornaments. You've given me some great inspiration for next year's Valentine's Day. Thank you for linking up to #SundaysStars. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

    1. I know. I wasn't brave enough to do the canvas this time round, but might try next year when they're a bit older. Thanks for having a read :)
