Feel Fab Friday - Weightloss and Fabulousness 24/04/15

Well this week still hasn't worked out how I imagined.  I've put a further 2lb on.  I went away last weekend and started back at work on Monday.  I have not been good at all and have been eating way too much chocolate again.  I don't feel like my life is organised enough to get going.  I never have the 'right food' in and don't get me started about having the time to  make a healthy lunch for the next day.

However, everything has kind of come to a head, this morning.
I have had a sore throat for 3 weeks so I headed to my doctors.  I couldn't get in to see the usual 'nice' doctor and had to see a different one.  He said that my throat is fine and that I'm suffering from acid reflux and it's burning my throat.  Since I have had Harry and Matthew, I have suffered from this so this news was nothing new really.

What did surprise me though was the rant that ensued from him.
You need to lose weight and change your eating habits and lifestyle.  You are past your prime and need to do something before you are affected by all kinds of diseases that will seriously affect you. Blah, blah, blah.

I just wasn't prepared for it; I had gone in with a sore throat!  The thing is though, he is right.  Everything he said was right but difficult to listen to.  I went back into work and had a chat with the girls who all had words of encouragement to help me.  They've told me to start on Monday - no excuses and that's exactly what I'm going to do.  I've had a wake up call and need to act now.

So I am sorry to everybody who reads my blog and may be wondering how I've got on this week.  It's been a disaster but at least I'm being honest with you.

Onwards and upwards with Weight Watchers from Monday.

  1. What?! Your doctor said that too you?! What a git! However sometimes you do need words of 'encouragement' from someone quite frank.
So glad the lovely ladies at your work rallied around though! You can do it, WW is lovely and will help you get into a rhythm - have you got MyFitnessPal? Working WW with MFP really helped me at the start. We are all here to offer support and listen to you. Starting tomorrow with a new lease of life is great. New day, new week, new start, new you! Keep us posted chick!xx Sim xx

    1. I'd forgotten about my fitness pal. I might track next week's points in it to see how many calories it amounts to. Thanks for your words of encouragement. I need them at the moment :)

    1. It's so hard sticking to it. I've found it tricky and have wanted to cave more than once. Keeping organised with a young family is tricky too. Hope you get back on track next week. :)
