What is Wicked Uncle?

Wicked Uncle is an online toyshop dedicated to the shopper who just doesn't know what to buy for a child's birthday.  Whether that be a parent, grandparent, aunty or uncle, Wicked Uncle aim to make the whole process that little bit easier.

Wicked Uncle got in touch to see if we wanted to review their website for ease of use and the service we received.  I was only too happy to oblige and immediately set about ordering some toys for my twin boys.
Ease of use
As you can see in the image above, the site looks very appealing with great graphics and is simply laid out for the user.  Wicked Uncle have toys sorted by gender and some that they feel are suitable for both.  Don't be put off by the gender debate surrounding toys, just go with it for ease of use, as I did.
Once you have decided on gender, you can sort by age and category, such as Outdoorsy or Brainiac.  For me , this is where Wicked Uncle come into their own league.  Before I had my children, I was forever complaining to my husband that I didn't know what to buy for my Nephews' birthdays.  What does a 4 year old like?
The Wicked Uncle website came up with so many possibilities when I searched for a 3 year old boy, that it took me ages to pick something out for Harry and Matthew.
I did eventually order a child proof microscope and an educational fishing game for teaching my boys their numbers.
If you order before 4pm, they dispatch the same day for a flat standard delivery fee of £2.95. Our package arrived securely and we were notified that it had been dispatched.  There was a lot of the big blown up plastic bag type packaging inside, to protect everything and it did.
The toys were very well received by my two.  They love the fishing rods and the microscopes tie in so well with the magnifying glasses they have been using in the garden, this week.
Added extras
Wicked Uncle also sent a thank you card that your child could send out to the sender.  I thought this was a lovely touch.
Other impressive features include the ability to have your gift, wrapped and they'll even send a handwritten card, if you are really on the last minute with your gift buying.  Obviously there is a nominal fee for this feature.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Wicked Uncle in the future and will take a look again, in a couple of months, for Christmas ideas.
*Disclaimer - We were sent a £40.00 online credit to use on the Wicked Uncle website.  All opinions are my own.

  1. What a fab website and so good to help uncles and anyone find the perfect gift for a child. I love your choices too- the microscope looks like a fantastic way to introduce scientific discovery. Thanks for joining the #weekendblogshare
