Yankee Candle Autumn 2016 Review

Yankee Candle Autumn 2016 Review
I am so happy to be able to review these candles from my all time favourite brand, Yankee Candle.  Since the nights have been drawing in more during the last week, I have been burning these to see what I think for this review, and I've not been disappointed at all.  The only problem I have, is deciding which one to burn at any one time, because I have three to choose from.  Decisions, decisions.

Yankee Candle are brilliant at capturing the essence of the seasons, both with the photography on the jars and obviously the scent.  I have been sent Honeysuckle Clementine, Autumn Night and Rhubarb Crumble, which are all available to buy now. The collection is called Harvest Time and also includes Ebony and Oak too.

So what are my thoughts on these scents?

Autumn Nights sums up the entire collection for me - the signature scent. I do tend to like all of the black candles anyway.  This one reminded me of Midsummer Night because it is quite earthy and woody, but it contains lavender which I could smell quite clearly.  This is my favourite out of the three, but the throw is a little more subtle than what I was expecting.  The scent in the jar, is more powerful.

Honey Clementine, is, as you would expect, quite orangey but the honey is definitely there too. This orange candle, makes you want to grab a cosy blanket and read a good book, with its orange, autumnal colour.  I do like the fruity smelling candles.  This smells good enough to eat!

Rhubarb Crumble, is a beautiful deep red colour.  It is sweet smelling and contains vanilla.  I do like this candle, but I don't know whether it's a 'buy again' for me, because the vanilla is the more pronounced scent over the rhubarb and I don't really like vanilla as a scent to buy.  I prefer the more perfumed or fruity scents.  The rhubarb smell is quite subtle, and not quite strong enough for me.  Overall, this is a cosy, warming scent, and great if you like the sweeter smelling Yankee Candles.

I am really enjoying burning these candles at the moment.  Autumn in a jar - What more can you ask for?

If you would like to check out this range for yourself, you can do so here.

Have you tried any of the new Harvest Time Yankee Candles yet?  What do you think?

  1. After reading your review, I would like to try the Autumn Night candle - it reminds me of those days as a little girl holding my Dad's hand whilst walking through the woods under a carpet of orange and gold leaves - happy memories :D
