Toddlebike2 Review and Giveaway

Toddlebike2 Review

Just recently Harry and Matthew have been lucky enough to be trying out the Toddlebike2. It's a little bike that they can use when they have outgrown their ride-on, but are not quite ready for their balance bikes.

The bike is aimed at children who are approximately 18 months up to 3 years of age.  Harry and Matthew are 3 and a half and still able to ride comfortably, just about.  The thing I like about Toddlebike2 at the moment, is that they can get used to steering and sitting on the seat, before the balance bike comes into play.  We have had little success with balance bikes, so far - both boys just walk with it in between their legs, so we are hoping that the Toddlebike2 will prepare them more for how to sit down and move their legs.

Toddlebike2 Review

The Toddlebike2 is available in pink, blue and red and weighs just 0.8kg which is around 4 times lighter than the average balance bike.  I must admit, we received two of them in the same box, and I wondered what was inside, it was that light. Made from easy clean plastic, the bikes come with a 3 year guarantee, which speaks volumes about the manufacturer's confidence in their product.  Each bike costs just £23.95 delivered, which I think is an absolute bargain.

When it comes to twins, the Toddlebike2 really comes into its own.  Because it is so light, it is easy for me to easily carry 2 at once when needed, so no twin gets left out.  This comes in handy when you are out and about and they inevitably decide that they don't want to ride any more so the parent ends up carrying said bike.  This is no mean feat with the heavier bikes on the market, but these snazzy little bikes make the job so much easier.

And when it comes to 'twin' imaginations, my two have had a ball.  They particularly like using the belt from a dressing gown as a rope to tie both bikes together and ride around in tandem.  This keeps them quiet for quite a while.

Since the bikes have arrived we haven't managed much outdoor play, but it isn't a problem with these.  The wheels have been designed to produce a quieter ride and they haven't managed to cause any damage to anything as a result of riding them indoors.  I am very impressed with them!
